Yunshan Chair Professor Ping Li fromPennsylvaniaUniversitygave a talk on Ethics in Language Science and Other Related Issues at theNationalResearchCenterfor Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on July 3rd, 2013.

Professor Ping Li emphasized ethics issues in language science and advocated "putting ethics before science". He introduced a few world-known researchers who ruined their careers after seriously violating the professional ethics. Prof. Li also showed his experience in management of language lab. He stressed the importance of competition and co-operation among lab members and gave suggestions on the collaborations between faculties.
