一、会议简介
国际中国语言学学会(International Association of Chinese Linguistics, IACL)是目前全球唯一的研究中国语言和语言学的世界性学术组织。自 1992 年成立以来,已先后在亚洲、北美、欧洲、澳洲等多个地区成功举办国际中国语言学学会年会,吸引了全世界众多从事中国语言和语言学研究的学者和研究人员参加,为汉语及中国境内其他语言在各语言学分支领域的原创研究成果提供了最重要的展示平台。
第 32 届年会(The 32nd Annual Conference of International Association of Chinese Linguistics, IACL-32)将于 2026 年 6月 12 日至14 日在中国广州召开,由广东外语外贸大学外国语言学及应用语言学研究中心承办(Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Center for Linguistics and Applied Linguistics),诚邀世界各地从事汉语语言学和中国境内语言研究的学者踊跃参加。
二、大会论文摘要征集
国际中国语言学学会第 32 届年会现向学界公开征集会议论文,所交论文可以涉及汉语及中国境内各种语言任何方面的研究。常规报告时间为 25 分钟(15 分钟宣读,10 分钟讨论)。每名参会者最多可提交一篇独立署名论文以及一篇与他人合作的论文,论文内容必须为未曾公开发表的原创研究。
摘要格式要求
(1)摘要篇幅限一页(含例句和参考文献),普通信纸尺寸(letter size),四周边距 2.5 厘米或者 1 英吋。
(2)摘要可以用英语或汉语撰写:
英文摘要使用标准新罗马 12 号字体(Times New Roman);
中文摘要使用小四号宋体。
(3)摘要须同时提交两份:一份 PDF 版本,另一份 DOC 或 DOCX 版本。
(4)摘要须匿名提交,但递交时需在电子邮件中留下联系方式及所有相关信息。
摘要提交规定
(1)摘要以电子邮件方式提交,电邮地址:< iacl32@163.com>。
(2)邮件标题处注明「ABSTRACT-IACL32」,并在电子邮件正文中提供:摘要作者的姓名、职称、所属单位、论文题目、所属研究领域(诸如句法学、音系学、汉语历史音韵学、汉藏比较语言学等)、电邮地址等。
(3)用以下方式命名您的文件:
独立署名论文摘要:姓_名.pdf/doc;
合撰论文摘要:姓_名_co.pdf/doc(仅列出第一作者);
例:张三的独立署名论文摘要命名为 zhang_san.pdf/doc;
作为第一作者与他人合撰的论文为zhang_san_co.pdf/doc。

三、国际中国语言学学会奖项
1. 青年学者奖 The Young Scholar Award (YSA)
「青年学者奖(YSA)」是国际中国语言学学会为奖掖青年学者而设置的一项创新性奖项,本届年会将循例举办论文比赛。
经评审委员会匿名评审初选入围者(最多 5 位,一般 2-4 位)可获得旅费补助,并受邀参加当年会议宣读论文,按固定程序参加决赛(若经过评审委员会审议,无符合条件的论文,则是届年会没有受邀入选者)。决赛获胜者将在年会晚宴上获颁得奖证书和奖金。
参选资格
(1)入围决赛者在决赛当天(2026 年 6 月 12 日)不超过 35 周岁、且职称在副教授(中国和美国高校体系)或高级讲师(英国高校体系)以下(不包括副教授/高级讲师)。
(2)曾在 IACL 往届年会上获得过此奖项者不得参加本次比赛。曾经入围 IACL 往届年会论文决赛、但未获奖者,若符合第一项条件,仍可参加本次比赛。
(3)决赛入围者应为国际中国语言学学会会员。尚未成为会员者应在收到入选通知书
后 30 天内加入学会,否则将取消参赛资格。
评奖论文提交规定
(1)参赛者需提交独立完成的论文全文 1 份(长度不超过普通信纸 letter size 25 页)以及论文摘要 1 份(长度不超过普通信纸 letter size 1 页)。论文全文与摘要需匿名提交(删去作者姓名、致谢及其它可能透露作者身份的信息)。
(2)论文必须原创,并未曾公开发表或被接受出版,亦未曾在大型会议上宣读或收录于会议论文集。曾入围往届IACL年会论文决赛但未获奖、且符合本次参选资格的学者,不得提交与往届参赛论文相同的论文。
(3)论文全文和摘要请通过电子邮件寄至< iacl32@163.com>。邮件标题处注明 YSA,并在邮件中提供:论文题目、所属研究领域(诸如句法学、音系学、汉语历史音韵学、汉藏比较语言学等)、作者姓名、职称(并注明 2026 年 6 月 12 日时的年龄)、所属单位、 电子邮件地址等信息。
(4)提交论文全文和摘要的截止时间为北京时间 2025 年 12 月 8 日 23 点 59 分,初选评审结果将于 2026 年 1 月 15 日左右通知。入围决赛者届时需提供年龄及职称证明。

2. 桥本万太郎汉语历史音韵学奖 Mantaro J. Hashimoto (MJH) Award for Chinese Historical Phonology
本奖项年度奖金为 500 美元,由余霭芹教授捐赠,为纪念杰出语言学家和汉学家桥本万太郎教授所设,借以鼓励年轻学者投身汉语历史音韵学研究。本奖项与「青年学者奖」隶属同一程序,所有参加「青年学者奖」竞赛的论文,凡属于汉语历史音韵学研究领域的,则同时自动参加本奖项的评选。
论文提交规定
参赛者需于邮件标题处注明「YSA/MJH」,其他一切要求均与上面公布的「青年学者奖」相同。请特别注意,MJH 奖只颁发给「青年学者奖」获得者,且其论文主题必须与汉语历史音韵学有关。
3. 跨学科研究奖 The Interdisciplinary Research Award (IRA)
本奖项年度奖金为 500 美元,为表彰谢信一教授对本学会以及中国语言学研究所做出的巨大贡献而设立,借以鼓励年轻学者投身跨学科的中国语言学研究。本奖项与「青年学者奖」隶属同一程序。所有参加「青年学者奖」竞赛的论文,凡属于跨学科中国语言学研究的,则同时自动参加本奖项的评选。
论文提交规定
参赛者需于邮件标题处注明「YSA/IRA」,其他一切要求均与上面公布的「青年学者奖」相同。请特别注意,IRA 奖只颁发给「青年学者奖」获得者,且其论文主题必须与跨学科领域的中国语言学研究有关。跨学科研究包括接口研究(如音系-句法接口、形态-句法接口、句法-语义接口等)、结合历时和共时手段的研究、结合不同理论框架(如形式主义、功能主义、类型学等)的研究,以及语言学与其他学科(如文学、人类学、社会学、心理学、计算机科学等)相结合的研究等。

About IACL
The International Association of Chinese Linguistics (IACL) is the only international professional organization devoted to the promotion of scientific research on Chinese linguistics/languages, and has held its annual conference at various leading institutions in Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia since its establishment in 1992. The event serves as an important occasion for scholars and researchers working on Chinese linguistics across the globe to present original and unpublished research work in all subfields of linguistics on a great variety of the Chinese languages or other languages of China.
The 32nd Annual Conference of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics (IACL-32) will take place on June 12-14, 2026, hosted by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, P.R.China. We are happy to invite scholars and students in relevant fields to join the event in Guangzhou.
CALL FOR PAPERS
IACL-32 cordially invites abstracts for oral presentations of original, unpublished research work in all subfields of linguistics on any variety of the Chinese languages or other languages of China. Each talk will be 15 minutes, followed by a 10-minute discussion (25 minutes in total). Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.
Abstract format
(1) Abstract length is limited to one page (letter size; using 2.5 cm or 1 inch margins on all sides), including examples and (selected) references.
(2) Abstracts can be written in English or Chinese:
For English: Please use Times New Roman font, size 12 pt
For Chinese: Please use Songti font 宋体, size ‘small 4’ 小四号
(3) Abstracts should be submitted in two versions, i.e., one in the form of a PDF and the other in the form of a DOC or DOCX.
(4) Abstracts should be anonymous, but please make sure to include your contact information in your email upon submission.
Submission guidelines
(1) Abstracts should be submitted directly to the conference email: <iacl32@163.com>
(2) Please title the subject of your e-mail with “ABSTRACT-IACL32”. In the email, please include name(s) of the author(s), academic rank(s), affiliation(s), abstract title, subcategory (e.g., syntax, phonology, Sino-Tibetan linguistics, etc.), and the e-mail address for contact.
(3) Please name the abstract file in the following way:
For single-authored papers: LastName_FirstName.pdf/doc
For co-authored papers: LastName_FirstName_co.pdf/doc (list only the first author)
(For example, San Zhang would name his abstract file “Zhang_San.pdf/doc”, or “Zhang_San_co.pdf/doc” for a co-authored paper)

The IACL Awards: YSA, MJH, IRA
1. The Young Scholar Award (YSA)
The YSA competition is an innovative attempt by the IACL to promote, recognize, and encourage scholarship by young scholars. It is held once a year in conjunction with the IACL annual conference.
A maximum of 5 (normally 2-4) finalists will be selected, each awarded a travel subsidy plus accommodation and invited to the IACL conference to give an oral presentation at a special session organized for this purpose, before a panel of judges chaired by the IACL President (the review committee of any given year may also recommend that no finalist be invited). The author of the best paper selected by the panel will be honored at the banquet of the annual conference and presented with an award certificate.
Eligibility
(1) Participants must be 35 years of age or younger by the date of the final round of the competition (i.e., June 12, 2026).
(2) Participants’ current academic rank must be below that of associate professor in the Chinese and American university systems, and below that of senior lecturer in the British system.
(3) Previous YSA award winners are not eligible to re-enter the competition. Previous YSA Finalist who did not win the award are eligible to re-enter the competition, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria regarding age and academic rank.
Submission Guidelines
(1) Each participant is required to submit a single-authored full paper of no more than 25 pages in length and an abstract of no more than one page in length (letter size).
(2) Both the abstract and the full paper should be anonymous.
(3) All submissions for the YSA competition must be original papers that have not been published or accepted for publication, nor presented at a major conference or included in its proceedings.
(4) A paper submitted to a previous IACL conference cannot be re-submitted.
(5) Please submit the abstract and the full paper directly to the conference email (<iacl32@163.com >), and title the subject of the submission email “YSA”.
(6) In the submission email, please include: paper title, subcategory (e.g. syntax, phonology, Sino-Tibetan linguistics, etc.), author’s name, author’s age as of June 12, 2026, affiliation, academic rank, and the email address for contact.
Submission Deadline
The abstract and the full paper should be submitted no later than December 8, 2025, 11:59 pm, Beijing Time (GMT +8). The results of acceptance will be announced around January 15, 2026. Those who are selected as YSA finalists must submit proofs of their age and academic rank.

2. Mantaro J. Hashimoto (MJH) Award for Chinese Historical Phonology
This award is an annual prize in the amount of US $500, donated by Professor Anne Yue in memory of the eminent linguist and sinologist, Professor Mantaro J. Hashimoto. It is offered as an encouragement to young scholars who wish to devote themselves to the study of Chinese historical phonology, a field in which Professor Hashimoto was especially interested and to which he made numerous important contributions.
The prize will be administered as part of the Young Scholar Award (YSA) process. All YSA papers submitted in the field of Chinese historical phonology will automatically be concurrently considered for the MJH Award.
Submission Guidelines
Title the subject of the submission email “YSA/MJH”. Applicants should follow the published YSA guidelines in preparing their submissions. All regulations, restrictions, selection criteria, and judging standards current in the YSA process will apply to papers considered for the MJH Award, with the exception that MJH submissions must deal specifically with the area of historical phonology.
3. The Interdisciplinary Research Award (IRA)
This award is an annual prize in the amount of US $500, established in the honor of Professor Hsin-I Hsieh for his immense contributions to the IACL and to the field of Chinese linguistics. The award is offered as a token of encouragement to young scholars who wish to devote themselves to interdisciplinary studies in Chinese linguistics.
The prize will be administered as part of the Young Scholar Award (YSA) process. All papers with an interdisciplinary approach submitted for YSA will automatically be concurrently considered for the IRA Award.
Submission Guidelines
Title the subject of the submission email “YSA/IRA”. Applicants should follow the published YSA guidelines in preparing their submissions. All regulations, restrictions, and selection criteria adopted in the YSA process will apply to the papers considered for the Interdisciplinary Research Award, with the exception that these submissions must have an interdisciplinary focus, which includes interface studies (phonology-syntax, morph-syntax, syntax-semantics, etc.), studies which combine diachronic and synchronic approaches, those that combine methodologies from different frameworks (formal, functional, typological, etc.), or those that combine linguistics and other disciplines (literature, anthropology, sociology, psychology, computer science, etc.).

(1) Rates for IACL-32: Rates: RMB 1200 (faculty); RMB 600 (students).
(2) Note: Non-IACL members must join IACL within 30 days of acceptance notification to be eligible for presentation at IACL-32. Details of registration and payment options will be provided in the letter of acceptance.
