近日,我中心云山讲座教授李平教授及云山青年学者杨静博士在国际语言类核心期刊Journal of Neurolinguistics上发表了题为“Neural changes underlying successful second language word learning: an fMRI study(第二语言词汇学习成功者的脑活动变化:一项功能性核磁共振研究)”的研究论文。该研究结果被ScienceDaily,CTVnews,Sonali Kohli,qz等多家海外媒体报道,并作为标题新闻刊登在近日的Penn State Today首页。
在这项研究中,23名美国大学生在六个星期的时间里连续学习了48个带有声调的汉语词汇。与16名未参与学习的同年龄大学生相比,这些学习者训练后的大脑功能活动发生了变化:在进行声调判断的任务中,由于词汇知识的自动激活,其大脑的语言区有更为强烈的激活。此外对脑活动网络的有效连接分析显示,这些二语学习者中,学习好的个体相对学习成绩较弱的个体,其与外语学习有关的脑区之间的联结更为紧密,整个脑功能网络的前后重要脑区沟通途径更多、连接更强。

李平教授是我校“双语认知与双语教育实验室”的顾问专家;杨静博士是该实验室的研究人员。目前实验室集中研究内容包括:1)研究不同母语背景下双语学习和加工的认知神经机制;2)探讨母语及外语教育互相促进的高效学习模式;3)探索语言学习与思维及文化培养的关系;4)建立开放式的母语及英语学习诊断、咨询系统,服务社会。
